Specific technology is required for the fine synthetic chemistry, choline chloride.


Choline chloride is synthesized by the reaction of TMA-HCl and ethylene oxide. During the synthesis of choline chloride, it is very important to add an adequate amount of ethylene oxide.  In this respect, their reaction is done thoroughly and no extra TMA-HCl is left over. Recently, on the other hand, some similar products produced through addition of inadequate amounts of ethylene oxide are available in the market.  In such cases, the synthesis of choline chloride takes place only partially and its product still includes non-reactive TMA-HCl leftover. As a result, TMA-HCl is neither able to serve beneficial function nor to be converted to choline chloride in the body of animals.  Furthermore, TMA-HCl in the diet may cause a strong fishy odor in the meat and egg.

All in all, this synthetic chemistry requires precise technology. With our abundant experience, we have already set our unique synthetic technology of choline chloride and produced high purity choline chloride with safety and accuracy.



Quality Management and Control


KOLIN has two plants at Ulsan and Cheonan, respectively in Korea.   Both plants acquired the certification of ISO 9001 and GMP.  Every stage in manufacturing processes is monitored by authorized technicians and most of the work is computerized. The manufacturing process of choline chloride is controlled by a vertically integrated system from ingredients to the final products.
